- Korea will serve as a co-chair of G20 for the next 3 years.
Korea, along with the UK and Brazil, will host the Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting, Deputies Meeting and Officials Workshop. It will also take the lead in the management of G20.

Advising the UK, the chair in 2009
Closely working with the chair on selecting agenda, presenters and debaters, writing the communique, and matters related to the study group
Serving as a co-chair in G20 meetings (presiding over meetings)
- Holding one of the 3 workshops in Korea
- Announcing the agenda and timetable of the 2010 G-20 meeting in the second half of 2009

- Holding the Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting, Deputies Meeting and Officials Workshop
- Establishing and managing a study group to analyse certain issues
Developing an agenda for the study group, writing an analysis report
